Public House Brewing Company began with their cozy pub in downtown Rolla, MO. The quality produced by this R&D facility led to a partnership with St. James Winery, and the building of a second location. The PHBC St. James Taproom serves up samples, tours of our production facility, locally-sourced food, and the perfect place to taste modern, craft beer with family and friends.
What started as a burning desire to brew classic world beer styles in the garage for ourselves became an obsession to consistently craft technically flawless interpretations of modern beer to share with everyone else. That obsession—intertwined with a deeply intellectual curiosity—compelled us to think bigger in every facet of what we were doing. Today we stand at the threshold of a new brewing frontier. Beer At the St. James Taproom, our year-round and seasonal beers are always on tap, along with an occasional collaboration project with our neighbors. We also offer growlers and six-packs for purchase. Eats We have a unique menu of farm-to-table food. If you are looking for something light, try our tasty pub snacks, like soft pretzel bites or artisan meats and cheeses. During warmer weather, on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., we fire up our outdoor wood-fire pizza kitchen.
