Fall, 2017: This fall, beginning with Octoberfest, Deutschheim will be featuring the special exhibit “What Wondrous Life: The World of George Husmann.” Husmann, a German immigrant to Hermann in the 1830s, is recognized as one of the fathers of the American wine industry. The free exhibit will be open from 10-4 every Saturday and Sunday of Octoberfest at the historic Feldmann-Stark House, circa 1883, located at 109 W. Second Street in Hermann. the Deutschheim Visitor Center, where guided tours originate and a gift shop is next door.
