Marilyn Lakaner is a “lifer” there in Steelville, Missouri. Living on the family’s century farm, she has been married to her husband, John, for more than 35 years, raised 3 lovely children and chartered a career in the insurance industry more than 30 years ago. She loves her church, Steelville Presbyterian Church, and adores being able to live in the small-town setting of Steelville, Missouri.
Someday, Marilyn plans to retire from the corporate world and live a slow-paced, lifestyle. But until then, she finds time to run two successful businesses. John is a small engine repairman who also loves the outdoors. John and Marilyn are usually kissing each other at the door while they run from one event to another, but they wouldn’t change anything at this point of their lives. Married young…and now, empty nesters, they have worked hard to get where they are and plan to someday change things up a bit! You never know what thy have up their sleeves!
